Last month I picked two of the newly launched Elle 18 Color Pops Matte Lipsticks. I had already reviewed the shade 'Pink Kiss' and here's the second one from my collection – 'Cherry Wine'. I always averted picking up dark colors from Elle 18 because they seem to be very shimmery or with low pigmentation. However, this color is nothing like the previous ones and having worn it in few occasions, I can surely say the color looks really good. Scroll down to know about the product in detail.

My Experience With Elle 18 Color Pops Matte Lipstick Cherry Wine:
Packaging: Elle 18 Color Pops Matte Lipstick has made slight changes to their previous packaging but very nominal. It comes in a bullet-shaped light weight plastic tube with the change in the animated character. If you ask me, I like this one better. It looks catchy, chic and is extremely easy to carry around. However, just prevent from dropping it too many times as it doesn't look very sturdy. The lipstick bullet is well shaped, easy to apply and there is no problem of melting or breaking.
Shade: The shade 'Cherry Wine' is a good blend of mulberry and plum with slight dark cherry undertones. It has no shimmers at all and immediately brightens up the face. Needlessly to say, the color is an apt choice for winter. Also, it is great for bridal occasions when you are teaming up with something like shimmery beige or taupe. The color suits an array of skin tones and thus will never clash with your complexion.
Pigmentation: The pigmentation is on point. This is the first time I have seen an Elle 18 lipstick faring so well in the pigmentation department and looks extremely gorgeous. Single swipe gives a good layer of color while the second swipe ensures that all the pigmentation and discoloration of the lips are gone. It looks so deep and enriched on the lips.
Texture: The texture is leaning towards the satin matte ones. This is why it feels slightly tight but creamy soft and glides without tugging or pulling the lips. However, the matte factor is surely there, which you can see once it settles and thus you need well prep the lips to prevent the accentuation of fine lines. However, you don't need lip balm as the color is moisturizing enough.
Finish: The finish of the lipstick is satin matte but you can completely make it look matte by dabbing some translucent powder or compact powder on top. I found the texture extremely satisfying and as per my wish, I can easily customize the 'matte-ness'.
Staying Power: The matte lipsticks generally have good staying power and this one also lasts a long time. It lasted for around 5 hours on me with a few drinks (no solid food) and then it started to fade a little. A little touch up would surely solve the issue of staying power.
Pros Of Elle 18 Color Pops Matte Lipstick Cherry Wine:
Cons Of Elle 18 Color Pops Matte Lipstick Cherry Wine:
5/5
Final Note:
This is a super pigmented, creamy matte lipstick that comes with a price tag of 100 bucks and a chic packaging. So what are you waiting for? I would highly recommend this and I am thinking of exploring few more shades for sure.
