The one thing you will find in any makeup lover's kitty is a makeup remover. We all know the reasons why there is a need to remove makeup before hitting the sack. So a good makeup remover is what we all need. I guess I am an exception to this because I have never used a makeup remover in my life. I used to remove my makeup with milk. I was satisfied with its use and never really bothered to look out for a chemical based remover. But later I realized that while traveling you just cannot get milk to remove your makeup. So while this thought was still fresh, I received Revlon Makeup Remover in my Aplava haul sent by Lavanya. I guess she heard my inner voice. So without wasting time, let's jump into the review.

Directions For Use:

Squeeze a small amount into palm of hand and spread over entire face (including eyes and lips) using small circular motions. Use a tissue or rinse off with water.

My Experience With Revlon Eye & Lip Makeup Remover:

The makeup remover comes in a tube form having a white body and a black flip flop cap. The cap is secured tightly and shuts nicely, so there is no leakage. Although with the continuous use, the product starts to accumulate around the nozzle like it happens with any flip flop cap products. It is quite sturdy and travel-friendly, it comes in handy on the go and you can easily carry this around wherever you go. The texture of this remover is cream based. The consistency is neither too runny nor too thick. But it is on the liquidy side. So the remover needs to be placed horizontally otherwise the moment you open the cap, the cream will start to come out on its own leading to product wastage.

Coming to its claims, I am highly impressed with this one. It sticks to each and every claim. Although it says lip and eye makeup remover, it efficiently removes most of my face makeup in just one swipe. You might need little efforts to wipe off kajal from the eyes because you need to be careful with the eyes. The remover doesn't cause any irritation or roughness. However, it stings my eyes whenever I remove the kajal. It will not give you teary red eyes but minute sensation will be there which goes within few seconds. It blurs the vision a little but not to worry as it is ophthalmological tested. It does wipe off long-wearing makeup and transfer resistant makeup like a pro. There is no hard scrubbing required. The stubborn makeup is removed easily and saves a lot of time. Why I say that is because as a matter of fact, as much as we love putting the makeup on, the removal of it becomes equally painful. After coming back home from late night party or function, the removal of makeup is what I hate the most. Being the lazy bum that I am, I just want to get away with the process as fast as possible and just hit the sack. This remover eases my tedious task and removes makeup like a dream. This is life's savior I must tell you.

The remover did not cause any breakouts to me though I have been using it only for 3 days but I have a sensitive skin so if there is any product which doesn't suit me, I get a pimple immediately within an hour of applying the product. So yeah! Nothing of that has happened. After removal, the skin feels soft and supple. It leaves a creamy residue/film on the skin which is due to the presence of mineral oil in it. For dry skin people,this residue acts like a lotion, they can skip washing the face. But for oily skinned people, it might cause oiliness and rinse off with water is suitable.

Final Note:

This is my first ever makeup remover and I think I will continue to buy this. The consistency is superb and it easily removes the stubborn makeup (even the long wearing and transfer resistant). It eases the makeup removing task. It is travel-friendly and sometimes you can remove your makeup while coming back home from your parties in the comfort of your vehicle. Just carry tissues or cotton to wipe off your makeup and you are sorted.
