Ranveer Singh is one of the fresh faces of Bollywood. He was born on 6th July 1985 in Mumbai. His debut film was 'Band Baja baraat' with Anushka Sharma in 2010. His acting is spectacular no doubt, but I truly became his fan after seeing his interview in Koffee with Karan, his enthusiasm and his personality is so vibrant that it brings an instant smile on your face. He is the only Bollywood actor who is always joking around and is so energetic. He is truly the future star of Bollywood. Here is a list of things that you might have never known about Ranveer Singh.
1. The full name of Ranveer Singh is Ranveer Singh Bhavnani. He decided not to use his surname 'Bhavnani' because he thought the whole name won't be saleable in the industry. On top of it, he was thinking of changing his name, as he felt it sounded similar to 'Ranbir'.
2. Ranveer Singh was in Indiana University studying creative writing. He took up theatre as a minor. During this time he was asked to perform something for his theatre class, which was full of foreign students, he performed Amitabh Bachchan's famous dialogue from "Deewar." Even though the students in his class did not understand a word of what he said, he received a big applause from them for his acting. After his college, his first job was that of a copywriter with the advertising agency – O&M and later on in J. Walter Thompson. He then worked as an assistant director, but left it to pursue acting.
3. Ranveer Singh had rejected 3 movies before making his Debut in Band Baja Baarat. He was very choosy because he wanted his face to be a fresh face in Bollywood, so he rejected serials and ads. The minute Aditya Chopra saw Ranveer Singh, he decided to cast him as the lead in Band Baja Baraat. During this time a rumour was making rounds that his father had paid Rs.10 crore to Yash raj films to feature Ranveer in the film, although he denied this rumour, and was hurt by this story.
4. Ranveer Singh is Sonam Kapoor's cousin from the maternal side. He is close to his mother but the actor is also known to speak to his father in difficult situations.
