Maybelline Baby Lips has a gloss variant? Why didn't Maybelline launch this in India yet? I am already a big fan of Baby Lips which is no secret and even though I am more of a matte lover than gloss, this product is surely a favorite. I have dry lips and often forget to exfoliate them. There are days when I simply apply a dash of gloss on the lips and go out. This was pretty a regular routine for the last month when my exams were on. I looked pretty much worn out due to consecutive all-nighters and hence I needed something shiny and glossy for the lips. Having used the product for a month, here is my review on it.

Step 1. Apply lip gloss with the applicator wand in the center of your upper lip and follow the contours of your mouth.
Step 2. Glide the lip balm across the entire bottom lip.

My Experience With Maybelline Baby Lips Moisturizing Lip Gloss A Wink Of Pink:

The packaging of Maybelline Baby Lips Moisturizing Lip Gloss is slightly different than the regular lip balms we have seen so far. It comes in a cylindrical tube with a white opaque screw cap that has the applicator attached. The applicator is a doe-footed one with a slanted tip. The packaging is also see through. It is good for applying the product and works well. The packaging is pretty much like any other lip gloss and also has a lightweight feel. It is extremely travel-friendly and I always keep it in my bag as the product doubles up as a lip balm and lip gloss.

The shade 'A Wink Of Pink' is a very sheer rose gold color with gorgeous silver and pink shimmer in it. In general, I don't prefer shimmers in my lip products but (not being biased) I loved how they reflected on the lips. The shimmers, along with the lip gloss gives a high shine formula and looks stunning when worn on the lips. You can wear the color on its own as a sheer lip gloss or you can easily top it on a lip color. The shimmers are fine and won't interfere much with the lip color at all. It merely gives a high glossy look and reflects the right amount of light.
The lip gloss has a fruity smell. I liked the aroma which is extremely lip smacking but if you are not much into fragrance laden lip glosses, it might be bothering. The texture of the lip gloss is like jelly – it is slightly thicker than usual ones. However, it is not sticky or uncomfortable at all. It feels lightweight on the lips and doesn't irritate or sting at all. Most importantly, it is hydrating and nourishing on the lips. It is infused with vitamin E that helps to smoothens and softens the lips for hours. The lips feel hydrated and moisturized. This is why dry lips would love this product.

The longevity of the lip gloss is exactly what it claims – 4 hours. I hate when brands make sky-high claims of 16-18 hours and then you end up with few handful of hours but this does its job right. The lips stay hydrated and over the time it doesn’t dry out. Even when the lip gloss is completely faded, the lips won't feel sticky or dry and stay nourished for a couple of hours. Therefore, I like how the product acts as a lip balm as well as lip gloss. The price tag is good, as compared to the price of the Maybelline Baby Lips retailed in the US.
