My Experience With Maybelline Color Whisper Lip Color Who Wore It Red-er:
Packaging: Maybelline Color Whisper Lip Color Who Wore It Red-er comes in a pretty packaging. It has a long slender cap which is translucent red in color and it has the 'Color Whisper' inscribed in silver. The body of the lipstick is also slim and long with a silver outlook. It has the same twist up function that works perfectly. The shade name and number is written below. Overall, the packaging is very pretty and subtle at the same time. It is sturdy and travel friendly as well.
Shade: The shade "Who Wore it Red-er" is the prettiest rosy red leaning slightly on the pinkish side. In my kitty, every red is loud and bridal related but this one is such a pretty color that you can wear it for any occasion. It has no shimmer at all and it imparts a natural rosy pink color to the lips. There are times when you want red yet want to look subtle, this is surely the right pick for you.
Pigmentation: Owing to its texture, the color has a medium to buildable coverage. It will not impart a full bright color but somewhere between a full lip color and lip tint. I wouldn't complain about the pigmentation because the range itself says "Color Whisper" and hence it does indicate elusiveness. If you have heavily pigmented lips, wear a concealer underneath or use a lip liner to intensify the color and cover the pigmentation.
Texture: The texture of the lip color is more on the glossy gel like consistency. It glides on the lips like butter and feels extremely smooth and comfortable. It is very forgiving for dry lips but it looks prettier if you exfoliate it. It hydrates the lips well and gives a soft supple touch. You don't need lip balm underneath as the color will moisturize the lips itself. The color does not bleed or feather at all and has a very pretty glossy texture.
Formula and Finish: The formula is hydrating and feels somewhere between lip balm and lip gloss. The finish is glossy shine and looks very natural. The only problem is that it transfers, just like any glossy lip color but nothing overwhelming. It also has a very sweet fragrance to it.
Staying Power: The staying power of the lip color is around 3-4 hours which is pretty good for a drugstore lipstick. Also, the longevity depends a lot on the food or fluid intake. It fades off almost completely with proper meals and you have to reapply after that. Otherwise, in general, it fades off with a tinge of rosiness on the lips. The price is reasonable but it is not easily available in India.

Does it melt? I can see the texture in the picture, hence asking. But loved the creamy finish on your lips.
ReplyDeleteThe tip was slightly disrupted when this came but it doesn't melt...
