On regular basis or even for a makeup tutorial, I never wear false eyelashes because somehow my eyes are very sensitive to the eyelash glue. Honestly, I haven't mastered the art of eyelash glue application yet and always end up with watery or red eyes while applying falsies. I hope I do master the art someday. Well, till then, the mascaras are my only hope. My lashes are fairly lengthy, so I make it a point of using volume boost as I love fluttery lashes. Lavanya sent me the Wet n Wild Mega Wear Mascara and finally I got to try the drugstore brands of US. They have quite a collection compared to our market and some of the products are simply a bomb! So, let's see how this one turned out to be.

My Experience With Wet n Wild Mega Wear Mascara C136 Very Black:
The mascara comes in a cardboard packaging and is further encased in a cyan colored cylindrical slender plastic tube. The function is of screw cap with the wand attached to it. The name of the brand and product is written in black accent. Overall, the packaging is beautiful for a drugstore mascara and has a very soothing touch to it.
Coming to the applicator, the wand has a conventional slender shape without any curve or anything. The bristles are short, soft and won't hurt the sensitive eye area at all. The shape of the wand is something I loved as it helps you to spread the product well and is easy to apply on the lower lashes too. In fact, once I am done with this mascara, I am surely going to preserve the wand and use it as a spoolie for lower lashes.
The shade of the mascara is carbon black but not 'very black' as claimed by the brand. The color is understood properly when you actually apply on the lashes rather than the hand swatch. It dries off matte black and looks decently pigmented. The texture of the mascara is creamy liquid but spreads well when you apply it. It is developed with Soy-protein enriched with Panthenol and thus won't affect the lashes at all. The texture of the mascara is fine because no matter how many coats you go for, the mascara won't clump at all. However, on the other hand, it gives zero volume and a mere amount of length to my lashes. Also, it can't hold the curls for long and I noticed nothing extraordinary at all after applying the mascara. The product takes forever to dry, so make sure you don't touch the lashes much otherwise it will create a mess for the eyes.
Coming to longevity, the mascara stays long on the eyes and is also smudge proof. It doesn't flake or goes inside the eyes and irritate at all which is great for sensitive eyes. However, the mascara isn't very waterproof. So if you are using any facial spray, it might seep down and give you panda eyes. Having said that, it gets removed easily, even with simple face wash when you swipe the fingers on the eyelashes. It isn't a very good product and the only use I found is that you can use it to set the eyebrows. Use a very light hand and tame the stray hairs. It sets the brows well but do not go overboard with it.
Pros Of Wet n Wild Mega Wear Mascara C136 Very Black:
Cons Of Wet n Wild Mega Wear Mascara C136 Very Black:
Diva Likes Rating:
2.5/5
Final Note:
Wet n Wild Mega Wear Mascara C136 Very Black doesn't live up to the name and does nothing to the lashes. But the good thing is that it has an amazing applicator and doesn't clump. However, I would not recommend this mascara.
