Let me just bring you my thoughts on L.A. Colors Lip Gloss Paradise Pink. Lip glosses take your make up a notch higher. I prefer to apply colored lip glosses alone when I don't want too much going on with my look. It gives a required hint of color without being overboard with glossy lips. So let's see how pretty the lip gloss is.
About L.A. Colors Lip Gloss Paradise Pink:
Vitamin E enriched formula conditions lips leaving a luscious, glossy finish.
Price:
$7.78 for 0.34 fl. oz / 10 ml
Ingredients List:
Polybutene, paraffin, silica dimethylsilylate, vitamin-e, parfum, MAY CONTAIN iron oxides, titanium dioxide, mica, D&C red 7 calcium lake, tin oxide, polyethylene terephthalate.
Directions For Use:
Apply to lips alone or over your favorite lip color. Apply as desired.
My Experience With L.A. Colors Lip Gloss Paradise Pink:
Packaging: It comes in a sleek cylindrical typical lip gloss style shape tube with white cap. The tube matches the color of the gloss perfectly. It is lightweight and travel-friendly. The name is written at the bottom of the tube. It has a doe-foot applicator brush which is soft on the lips and picks up the right amount of color.
Shade: The shade name 'Paradise Pink' says it all. It is a beautiful bubblegum pink shade with a glossy finish. It doesn't have any shimmer but it gives a radiant sheen. It appears neon at times in case you apply it too much. You have to apply this as a muted color, so this will not suit dark tones as it will make them look ashy. Certain neon or pinkish shades make your teeth look yellow, and this shade is no exception.
Texture and Formula: The texture is pretty smooth and creamy. Being a gloss, it tends to accumulate on the edges and the corners of your lips. So you have to take a little amount and spread nicely on the lips. I do the spreading with my fingers. The formula is sticky to an extent but it is still comfortable to wear. It does moisturize the lips, so there is no dryness. You can even skip a lip balm underneath which scores brownie points. But makes sure there is no dead skin on the lips as the lip gloss being sticky will definitely bring forth the patchiness. It does set into fine lines as you can see in the swatches.
Pigmentation and Smell: The pigmentation is quite good. But it will not hide the natural pigmentation of the lips. It is buildable but you cannot go overboard with the lip gloss as it will wash you out. It does wash me out if I apply it fully. Talking about the fragrance, it has got a strong fruity smell which is not bothersome.
Staying Power: The lip gloss alone stays for 2-3 hours in between snacks and drinks. It stays even after a full meal but the color fades after floss. It might stay even longer over a lipstick is what I am just guessing and I am going to try that soon.
Pros Of L.A. Colors Lip Gloss Paradise Pink:
Cons Of L.A. Colors Lip Gloss Paradise Pink:
Diva Likes Rating:
3.5/5
Final Note:
It's a good lip gloss; the color is perfect for weddings. Now that wedding season has started, I know I will use it a lot.
