Maybelline is one such brand which keeps on experimenting with their new collections. Recently they launched their Fit Me! range in India. It comprises of foundations, concealers , blushes and pressed powders. Salomi has already reviewed the Fit Me! Foundation and I am here to talk about the pressed powder. Ever since I read Salomi's review on the foundation, I got tempted to try something from this range and got my hands on the pressed powder. So let's see whether it is true to the hype it has got.

My Experience With Maybelline Fit Me! Matte + Poreless Powder 230 Natural Buff:
Packaging: It comes in a square shaped sturdy packaging. It has a glossy black finishing and the brand name is written with silver. For a compact, it is quite sleek and classy. It has got a peak-a-boo plastic lid which helps in identifying the shades. Though the lid is square, the product inside is in round shape. It has two compartments; one houses the mirror and compact which is really good in case you want to apply on the go. The lower compartment is for sponge applicator which is in baby pink color. It looks so adorable and is very smooth to apply. I really love the packaging and I literally travel with it everywhere.
Shade: The shade I have is Natural Buff which suits my fair skin tone perfectly. It blends seamlessly as it claims.
Texture: This pressed powder is one of the finest milled powders I own. The texture is impeccably smooth and very soft. It is not at all powdery. It blends effortlessly. On first application, I felt as if I have not applied anything. It is very light-weight and gives a nice natural glow to face without being cakey. It evens the skin tone. The best part is that it doesn't alter the skin tone once you set it over a foundation. Although, it doesn't say that it is mattifying but it does control slight sweat. Moreover, it says it is for normal to dry skin so we can assume it is not mattifying. It is a good setting powder, works perfectly for setting the under eye area as well.
Staying Power and Coverage: It stays for about 2 hours and after that I do require a touch-up. My face doesn't sweat much, so I cannot say about its sweat controlling power. As far as coverage goes, to me it seems to be more like a translucent setting powder. It does nothing to provide the coverage. If I compare the Maybelline Super Fresh Compact with the Fit Me! Powder, I would definitely choose the former for its coverage and staying power.

Final Note:
I was really excited to try this powder from the Fit Me! range and was expecting a lot. But it literally poured water over my expectations. It ruined all the hopes I had with this powder. I am not much of a foundation person, so I look for a compact which gives at least a little coverage. But this is a complete failure in that regard. Though, it does provide even tone to skin and gives a nice natural glow. But it is not your go to compact powder, because our skin behaves differently, it does have flaws which need to be camouflaged sometimes. This compact powder will not hide even your scars let alone pimples. So as a setting translucent powder sans any coverage, it works just fine.

I got this recently and I feel it is such a waste. It doesn't give good coverage and is not lasting. I dislike!
