Hello, everyone. As you all know very well how mad I am for blue nail polish, I was literally jumping when I received this color. I have tried few products of Sally Hansen till date and I have to say, I have loved them all because they make some incredibly good nail lacquers and other nail accessories. Sadly, they are quite expensive in India and also available in limited stocks. I received two of the 'Sally Hansen I Love Nail Art Neon' colors - Blueberry Burst and Vibrant Violet. Both the colors are pretty and despite being 'neon' I love wearing them. Read on to know my thoughts on the product.

My Experience With Sally Hansen I Heart Nail Art Neon Nail Color Blueberry Burst:
Packaging and Applicator: Sally Hansen I Heart Nail Art Neon comes in a rectangular thick walled glass bottle with a glossy black cap that has the applicator attached. The applicator is a flat brush. It has a curved shape at its tip and the flat profile which flattens out more when you apply more pressure. Therefore, you can get the color on the nails in a single stroke by varying the pressure needed depending on the nail size. Overall, the packaging is really nice and travel-friendly.
Shade: The shade 'Blueberry Burst' is a deep and vibrant cobalt blue with no shimmer, frost or glitter whatsoever. It has very deep undertones and shall come across lively on every skin tone. If you are pale to fair, the color would scream for attention. The shade can be worn alone or with several glitter, sequin or decorative coats. Either way, it looks good.
Pigmentation: The pigmentation was a huge disappointment for me. The swatches you see has four coats (no kidding!) and still it is semi-translucent. I just could not make it work at all on the bare nail and I believe you need a light nude/beige or white base coat to start off. I have no idea how to do a nail art with such a sheer color. The pigmentation ruined the beauty of the color, to be honest.
Texture and Finish: The texture of the nail polish runny. When you spread it, it really sheers out in the first coat. The consistency is thus a little tricky to work on when you are in a hurry. The nail polish has a very different kind of finish. It is neither matte nor glossy and something in between. And thus you either have to use a gloss or matte top coat to make it work out on the nails. Also, since you have to layer the color several times, it takes forever to dry. On me, it took around 2 hours to properly dry up. And hence, the texture isn't as impressive as I thought it would be.
Staying Power: The staying power of the nail polish is around 4-5 days which is pretty decent. Also, if you apply a matte or top coat, you can surely elongate the staying power. The nail polish can also be used for the nail art as well. For the price, I think it is a bit disappointing although the color is surely beautiful.
Pros Of Sally Hansen I Heart Nail Art Neon Nail Color Blueberry Burst:
Cons Of Sally Hansen I Heart Nail Art Neon Nail Color Blueberry Burst:
Diva Likes Rating:
2.5/5
Final Note:
I expected so much from the brand Sally Hansen but it turned out to be a complete dud. The only good thing is the shade. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
