With winter already here, my skin is becoming drier day by day, especially the hands and legs. I also started noticing slight dry patches around the nose and chin area and I had to pick up a hydrating balm for myself. For years, I have been using the Nivea Creme and I remember how I used to slather all over the face before hitting the bed. Well, for the face I can't use anymore because of acne issues but for hands and legs, I surely need it. It has been in the market for ages and has a reputation of its own. Read on to know how good it is and what are the various ways you can use this.
About Nivea Creme:
The World's No.1 skin care cream and the unmatched moisturizer for all the family, NIVEA Creme provides the skin with all it needs to stay pure, fresh and smooth.
Price:
75 INR for 60 ml
Shelf Life:
30 months
Ingredients List:
Directions For Use:
Nivea Creme can be used as a moisturizer, body butter, lip balm and hand cream.
My Experience With Nivea Creme:
The product comes in a bright navy blue tin. It has a flat body with a round surfaced lid and the product is sturdy. However, the packaging isn't very hygienic at all. You have to use the fingers every time and thus there is a high possibility of infection. Try using a Q-tip or small spatula to prevent the formation of germs. The smell is artificial but very good. There is nothing intense or overwhelming touch and thus it seems perfect. It also fades away a little upon application.
The cream is stark white and has a very thick and creamy texture. When you touch it, it feels as good as butter and slides on the skin very easily. You have to massage it really well because of the thickness and it takes a long time to absorb. For very dry skin, it is the perfect night cream in this cold weather. As I said earlier, I had skin peeling out of dryness near the chin and nose area and I applied a little amount at night before sleeping. I woke up with a soft and supple skin. Also, there was no breakout but I feel it will be too oily for the whole face.
For the lips, it is better to massage with the cream and exfoliate so that the dry and dead skin cells would come off easily. You can also apply it as a lip balm but it gives a whitish layer or pale look to the lips which I don't like at all. The cream is an excellent one for my elbows and knees. I have started working out and these areas are always bruised or dry. I apply the cream heavily before hitting the bed. I sometimes use this cream for feet as well after a thorough pedicure at home. It moisturizes the feet and nourishes it for a long time. Its mild formula, free from color and preservatives, is the ideal choice for young skin.
The Nivea Creme is formulated with Eucerit, Panthenol, and Glycerin. Eucerit, a special moisturizing ingredient is free from preservatives and is a good source of skin's own lipids. Panthenol can have a soothing and calming effect on small wounds. Glycerin has intense hydration capabilities. Overall, the cream will help to soften and soothe the skin, leaving them looking and feeling supple and smooth. It also calms the irritation.
Pros Of Nivea Creme:
Cons Of Nivea Creme:
Diva Likes Rating:
4.5/5
Final Note:
Nivea Crème is best suited for winters and surely a must have. It can be used as a moisturizer, lip balm, hand and foot cream and various other ways you want. It is budget friendly and has no side effects at all. I would highly recommend this one.
