Hello, everyone. Today I am going to review the second mascara from my haul list. It is the L.A.Colors Bold Lash Mascara (Soft Black). This Bold Lash Mascara is available in various colors. Personally, I have no idea how colorful eyelashes look but I can surely say that black does wonders. Nowadays I have started applying mascara on a regular basis and I love the way it makes my eyes look – open and prominent. So let's see what magic the mascara did to my eyes.

Swipe brush upwards from root to tip to plump individual lashes and achieve dramatic volume. Continue building lashes until you reach your desired look. Do not let dry between coats. Repeat for lower lash line.
My Experience With L.A.Colors Bold Lash Mascara Soft Black:
L.A.Colors Bold Lash Mascara Soft Black comes in a cardboard wrapping with detailed information written on it. The mascara itself comes in a fat tube which is further bulged in the center. It has a bright hot pink colored body with a glossy black screw cap that has the applicator attached to it. The application is extremely good. It has closed cluster of fiber bristles and is relatively small. The brush reminds me a lot about the "Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara" wand. It doesn't poke the eyes and spreads the product really well. Also, I have used this brush on my eyebrows (with a light hand) and it works like a charm there a well. However, the only con is that it is slightly difficult for lower lashes if you have small hooded eyes. The mascara has a small body and is lightweight. It is great for traveling and perfectly efficient.
The shade says 'Soft Black' and what I have seen is that the mascara isn't black at all. It is somewhat a deep greyish charcoal black. This is why I often brush it up lightly on my brows to give a deeper look. On my lashes, it hardly does anything. Coming to the efficacy of the mascara, it didn't impress me at all. Firstly, I neither adds length nor volume to my lashes. It simply coats and layers without any effect whatsoever. Also, if you try to build up several layers, it will not clump. It merely makes the lashes stick with each other and makes it look like I have few lashes. Hence, I don't like the effect at all. The only time I can make it work is when I use a mascara hack. It says you have to apply a single coat of mascara and then sprinkles some baby powder on the lashes with the help of a small fluffy brush. And wait for few seconds and then apply another layer of mascara. In this way, I see some kind of effect but that too minimal. Honestly, when I am in a hurry I won't get any time to do this but for leisure time, I might try this out.
The mascara takes a fair amount of time to dry up – which is neither too long nor short. On the brighter side, this mascara never makes my lashes dry at all. It doesn't feel crunchy and heavy at all. Hence, it would be a decent try for beginners as well. The mascara is smudge proof but not waterproof at all. When my eyes start watering, it gives a charcoal layer underneath the eyes which I really don't like. Coming to the removal, it is rather easy. I usually soak a cotton ball with coconut oil or eye makeup remover and absorb it for few seconds. I gently swipe it and remove the mascara. It comes off easily and thus it is hassle free to a large extent.

L.A.Colors Bold Lash Mascara is surely not my thing. It has no volume, lengthening effect or waterproof formula – the basic three for every mascara. Hence, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
