Highlighters have been my saving grace for all the dull and dreadful skin days. I am so obsessed with highlighters that I have started applying highlighters even when I am going to college. It adds a glorious shine and blinding effect to the skin instantly. I have been using the Faces Ultime Pro Metaliglow and L.A.Girl Velvet Contour Highlighter Stick (will review soon) and all of a sudden I ended up purchasing this one. I saw a swatch where this one looks exactly like the theBalm Mary Lou Manizer a and I couldn't control my excitement. Having used this for a month now, here are my thoughts on the product.

My Experience With Makeup Revolution Pro Illuminate:
Makeup Revolution Pro Illuminate comes in a jumbo compact size packaging. The first thing you would notice is that it has 15 grams of product, which will last me an eternity! The black base is of lightweight plastic and it has a transparent lid which enables you to see the product. I would have preferred a mirror at least. The packaging includes no applicator sponge or a brush at all. It has a lightweight structure, easy to slide in the bag but it is not travel-friendly with the mirror and applicator missing. Overall, the packaging is average.
It is, for now, available in a single shade – Illuminate. The shade is a classic champagne gold highlighter with a metallic touch. The shade is very versatile and would suit every warm skin tone. Except for very deep skin tones, I believe every skin tone can carry off this shade like a queen! It gives a beautiful touch of luminosity to the skin and catches light exceptionally well. There are no chunky glitters or shimmers in it and thus even if you go overboard with the highlighter, it still looks great. I have worn this for the past month, in every tutorial and events and I have to say, it is perfect for both day and night time. The pigmentation is really good and buildable. Thus, it allows you to adjust the luminous effect easily. For daytime, I use a brush to apply the highlighter on the high points of my face. It goes on really smooth and even. The effect is medium. However, during the night time, when I want to full highlighted effect, I use a damp sponge to dab the highlighter. The shine and glow are impeccable. Thus, you can use it for any occasion.
The texture of the highlighter is creamy smooth and soft. The formula leans towards creamy-powdery form and thus it helps to blend really easily. It doesn't look uneven, streaky or accentuates to fine lines or dry patches at all. The formula is easily blendable, even for beginners. The soft milled texture of the product is perfect for applying and you won't end up looking like a disco ball. The staying power is around 5 hours, although I tried during the cooler month. So, I am guessing the highlighter will have a little less wear time during summer, due to the high humidity. The shimmers fade out with the passage of wear time but don't transfer all over the face at all. Thus, you won't end up with a metallic face at the end of the day.
Pros Of Makeup Revolution Pro Illuminate:
Cons Of Makeup Revolution Pro Illuminate:

5/5
Final Note:
I am madly in love with this highlighter in the affordable price range. You can't compare it with the infamous Mary Lou Manizer or the Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminator, but this one surely has its own place. It can be used both by beginners and professionals and will last you a long time with that quantity.
