I invest too much on matte lipsticks and so I decided to try out few glossy trendy looks. L'Oreal Paris, at that time, came out with their Color Riche Gold Obsession Lipstick set with an amazing range of 7 gorgeous shades. I picked up few of the colors while the brand was on sale. Today, I will be reviewing the color 'Plum Gold' which belongs to the brand ambassador Gong Li. I have worn this shade quite a number of times in January. Here's the detailed review of the lipstick.

My Experience with L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Gold Obsession Lipstick (Gong) Plum Gold:

Packaging: L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Gold Obsession Lipstick has a gorgeous packaging. It comes in a beautiful black gold ombre casing with a color-coded button in the front. The cap shuts with a click and the shade name is written on the bottom. There is the signature of Gong Li on the body and it gives quite a luxurious feel to the packaging. Overall, it is a wonderful, efficient and travel-friendly packaging.
Shade: The shade 'Plum Gold' is a true plum color with purple undertones and gold shimmers. The color is as gorgeous as it gets and looks great on my NC42 skin. It is such a color you would love to wear during fall. The shade will suit every skin tone.

Pigmentation: I found the pigmentation of this color pretty good. In a single swipe, it gives quite a good amount of color. I use a second layer for the perfect opaque look. You can skip the lip liner with this one if you want.
Texture: The Color Riche Gold Obsession Lipsticks have a great texture too. It is creamy and smooth, just like butter and glides on the lips extremely well. They are also very hydrating and have jojoba oil in its formulation. It moisturizes the lips well and if you have dry lips, you will love them. The gold particles don't feel gritty or rough on the lips at all. The texture is perfect for glossy lip color.
Finish and Formula: The finish of the lip color is glossy. The gold particles reflect proper amount of shine on the lips but don't look metallic. In fact, they give a high glossy and plump look to the lips. The formula is transferable and bleeds slightly, which I don't like at all.
Staying Power: The staying power of the lip color is around 4-5 hours and the longevity on the lips depends a lot on the food and fluid intake as well. Coming to the pricing, it is surely a bit high priced.

The texture of the lipstick is really good and it is such a gorgeous color for any special occasion when you want to try something different, other than usual reds and pinks.
