I have a weakness for blue eyeliner, gel liner, and kajal for the eyes. I have already tried various eyeliners and kajal but I was yet to try the Gel Liner. L'Oreal Paris is one of the affordable brands to come up with a wonderful quality gel liner and this was a part of the L'Oreal Paris Cannes 2015 collection. The best thing about gel liner is that you can use it as eyeliner, kajal (water line) and also as an eyeshadow base. I have used this gel liner in various ways for about 6 months now and here is the detailed review.

My Experience With L'Oreal Paris Super Liner Gel Intenza 36H Royal Blue:
Packaging: I really love the packaging of L'Oreal Paris products. They are almost on par with high-end products and this gel liner is no different. The Super Liner Gel Intenza comes in a small round thick walled glass pot with a golden shining screw cap. The pot is enclosed in a cardboard box with a wonderful brush. The brush is very similar to the Maybelline one in shape but surely better. It enables to you draw thin and thick lines and has very soft bristles. You can also use this for tight lining the eyes as well. Overall, the packaging is efficient, lightweight, compact and travel-friendly.
Shade: The shade 'Royal Blue' is one of the most flattering blues on Indian skin tones I have come across. It is a jewel-toned deep sapphire blue. The jewel tone owes to the very fine shimmer which isn't visible at all but merely gives a glorious sheen to the color. This is a gorgeous blue which is festive and flatters every skin tone without looking too bright or too bold.
Pigmentation: L'Oreal Paris Super Liner Gel Intenza Royal Blue is nicely pigmented and a single swipe gives you a rich deposit of color on the eyes. I have dark circles and on daily basis, I don't really use concealer. But, this color shows up on my eyes without any added effort at all and thus you can be assured that the pigmentation is wonderful. It shows up equally good on my waterline as well.
Texture and Finish: For years, I have used Maybelline Gel Eyeliner so I would like to compare with that tone. The texture is creamy, soft and smooth. It has a slightly better texture than the Maybelline one. It doesn't crumble or flake off even if you layer it. I have used on my waterline and it has never irritated as well. The product can be easily used as an eyeliner, kajal (water line) and also as an eyeshadow base. The finish is satiny due to the shimmers. Also, the shimmers don't feel gaudy or gritty on the eyes. Coming to the main part, every gel liner in a pot has the tendency to dry up. My Maybelline one starts drying up slightly within 4 months while L'Oreal Paris Super Liner Gel Intenza took around 6 months. However, drying up doesn't parch but the texture thickens. I generally use my trusted Inglot Duraline and then it is as good as new. I wouldn't consider this as a con though.
Formula: The formula is waterproof, smudge-proof and doesn't irritate the eyes at all. It sets pretty quickly and is easier to blend as an eyeshadow base as well. Overall, I love the formula.
Staying Power: The staying power is striking. It stayed my eyes for almost 8-9 hours which is pretty incredible. As a kajal on the water line, it stayed for 4-5 hours and faded off a little. As an eyeshadow base, I stayed on for the whole day. Overall, the staying power is really good as an affordable gel liner.
