I don't step out of my house without a kajal. This is because I look sick, tired and depressed without a kajal. I have some personal favorites when it comes to kajal like the newly launched Lakme Eyeconic, Amway Attitude Coal and SUGAR Stroke of Genius Heavy Duty Kohl. Whenever there is a new launch of kajal I am eager to try it out. The same thing happened with the Nykaa EyemBOLD Kajal. I honestly loved the quality but I won't be using it or repurchasing it at all. Confused? Read on to know more about it.

My Experience With Nykaa EyemBOLD Kajal:
Packaging: Nykaa EyemBOLD Kajal comes in a chubby pencil form of packaging. It has a sharpenable body and comes with a black opaque cap. The packaging includes a sharpener which is pretty fine. Personally, I don't prefer sharpenable pencils because a portion of the product is wasted but creamy pencils can't be formulated in retractable packaging. Therefore, the packaging is hygienic, efficient, lightweight and travel-friendly.
Shade and Pigmentation: The shade is called 'Bold' and I believe it stands true to its name. It is the blackest, bold and darkest kajal I have in my stash and the shade is incredibly awesome. If you love the dark black look on the eyes, it is surely a great one to choose. Pigmentation is wonderful as single swipe gives you rich color pay off and you won't have to apply too much pressure as well. The only drawback is that the pencil won't let you draw sharp lines and it is only for tight lining the eyes.
Texture, Finish, and Formula: The texture of the product is creamy and smooth. In fact, this is the best kind of kajal I have seen in terms of creaminess. Therefore, the application is extremely easy and you won't have to tug or pull the eyelids too much. However, the kajal has a huge drawback. It stings my eyes so much the moment I would apply on the waterline. The first time I applied, it started hurting my eyes so badly that I immediately removed it (couldn't even swatch for the review too!). I thought maybe something went inside my eyes because I have used tons of kajal's previously and none of them burnt my eyes this bad. Also, Nykaa, to me, was a good brand. I made my best friend use the same to see how it works on her and she had the same view regarding this. Therefore, I couldn't use the kajal on the waterline at all. At the most, I can only use this on the eyelids as a thick base or eyeshadow. The finish is satiny and formula wise, as an eye shadow, it is smudge proof and water proof.
Staying Power: I couldn't test the staying power on the waterline for obvious reasons but as an eyeshadow or a base, it has a pretty impressive staying power. It stayed on my eyes around 6-7 hours even in sultry summer months. I was happy with the price tag when I initially bought it but now that the product is not much of a use to me, I feel the price tag is not justified at all.
