If you are a regular follower of Diva Likes, you would have known that I was planning to introduce Aakarsh to the pool and get him acquainted with swimming. Now that summer is here and the weather is great, we finally got a chance to take Aakarsh to the pool. It was his first time in the swimming pool and we were curious to know how he's going to react. He hates cold water and so we opted for the heated pool where the temperature is just right. Do you want to know how the experience turned out? Read ahead!
It all started on this Sunday morning around 11 AM when the climate was sunny and breezy, just perfect to enjoy a dip in the pool. We packed all the necessary stuff (you never know what you need with a toddler!) and arrived at the pool in our backyard. Since it the first time for Aakarsh, we didn't want to rush things. While Sharath went for a swim, I sat with Aakarsh at the pool entrance and played with him splashing water on his hands and legs. He started enjoying it and slowly started swaying his legs in the water. I could sense that he was enjoying the sensation of water flowing around his legs. Now that he was comfortable and the water looked perfect, we knew it was safe for him to get into the pool.
As I told you in my previous post, we planned to use SwimWays Baby Spring Float Sun Canopy to teach swimming because it's the perfect product to introduce baby to the water for the first time. SwimWays is a leader in helping children to learn to swim and promoting water safety. As pools are now open across the U.S., it is crucial to raise awareness about the importance of water safety and teaching children to swim. The first step of swim training is introducing your child to water and make them comfortable. Baby Spring Float supports young children (9 – 24 months) keeping them balanced and supported. This will eventually help them learn to swim.
So we got the Baby Spring Float in the pool and made sure Aakarsh was comfortable in it. The best thing about the float is the sun canopy which really helped us on a sunny day. It is removable and adjustable two-position sun canopy with UPF 50+. The Baby Spring Float has safety valves and dual fabric-covered air chambers which provide enhanced security. Aakarsh really enjoyed splashing his legs in the water and going around in the pool with his dad. Sharath and I made sure to be at close to him all the time as water safety is a must when teaching your child to swim. The wide circumference and soft mesh seat of the float are great for stability and it is definitely the safest way to introduce babies and toddlers to swimming. We had a great family time in the pool and the best part was Aakarsh loved being in the water. So that's a positive start to his swimming journey.
Once we were done with the swimming for the day, we packed our stuff and headed back home. Carrying the Baby Spring Float is quite simple as it can be deflated and folded flat into three compact circles for portability and storage. The Baby Spring Float bag is great for transportation as well. Overall, it was a wonderful first experience for Aakarsh in the pool and we felt happy and relieved that it went smooth.
Have you started teaching your child to swim? If not, now is the time to start. You can try Swimways Baby Spring Float which is now available at Target in-store and online. It makes the swim training process easy and comfortable for the child. Happy Swimming!
