My favorite season of the year is here! Summer it is! I love that its vacation season all over the country. Places are crowded at major attractions, hiking, parks, theatres, etc. and I feel happy watching people having fun everywhere. Now is the time we get to enjoy locally grown vegetables and fruits. We went for cherry and strawberry picking last week with our family and friends. It was a great outing. To top it all, summer is an ideal time to have a picnic and party outdoors. We recently had a small cozy picnic for 2 in our backyard. It was quality time spent with my husband. I prepared a really quick delicacy - Vegetarian Shami Kebab and paired it with CK Mondavi Wines. Read ahead to know how to create this simple recipe.
Ingredients List:
Chickpeas - 2 cups (cooked)
Onion - 1/2 (chopped finely)
Mint leaves - 2 tablespoons
Coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons
Ginger garlic paste - 1.5 teaspoons
Chili powder - 1 teaspoon
Garam Masala powder - 1 teaspoon
Salt - As per taste
Breadcrumbs - Half cup
Oil - As required for pan frying
Preparation:
Take a blender and blend all the following ingredients to form a coarse mixture - cooked chickpeas, onion, mint leaves, coriander leaves, ginger garlic paste, garam masala powder, salt, and chili powder.
Take the mixture in a bowl and add breadcrumbs. Mix it well.
Take a small amount of the mixture each time and shape it into patties.
Add oil in the pan and place the patties on it. Cook for 2 - 3 minutes by turning the patties till it turns golden brown on both sides.

Pairing Vegetarian Shami Kebab Paired With CK Mondavi and Family Sauvignon Blanc
CK Mondavi Sauvignon Blanc has brilliant clarity and offers subtle aromas of lemon, kiwi and herbaceous notes. This medium-bodied wine is filled with grapefruit and citrus flavors and ends with a crisp, refreshing finish. This drink enhances the flavors of Shami Kebab really well. The preparation of Shami Kebab is quick and Sauvignon Blanc is the perfect wine to pair it with.
